kathy_kostinsky: Herbarium Collar

A few month ago I loomed some Phoenix pendants and a herdan and my Mum loved the colours of the herdan so much that asked me to make the same thing for her. I don't like to repeat my work, so I loomed a collar in the same colours, but with autumn leaves. I wanted to show the variety of Moscow trees in it. Here it is. Moscow Autumn

kathy_kostinsky: Beaded belt

I made my first beaded belt 18 years ago, I hadn't started learning beading seriously then.
The belt was a very childish work, but I was very proud of it and often wore it going to school.
Time has passed, and I've learning beading all the time.
Sometimes I thought of making a new belt, some ideas appeared and suddenly I was asked to make it. The woman, who asked me to do it is a very good friend of our family, so I was glad to make this work.
So, after 18 yaers belt-pause - belt number 2.

kathy_kostinsky: (no subject)

This autumn I took part in Handycraft Mart and during two days was giving a master-class of looming. The weather was changing, the mood was rainy, so, here is the result: "Winter Tie"

anivyl: Hi :)

hi i just joined this community today. i have been lurking around other beaders' websites and got really interested for various reasons.

My name's Cheryl, i study at UC (or will be in like a week's time), majoring in politics and criminology. the first time i saw someone's beading project was on www.kitta.net, and i thought "wow, i want to make my own jewellery too" because i can't seem to find the right earrings for myself. i don't wear other jewellery though, due to possible allergies/sensitivities around my neck and wrists.

I bought some new beads today from bead needs, and when they arrived, i will start figuring out how to bead from there :) i know that sounds like an expensive way to start, but i popped by lin and craft and whatever starter kit they had seemed to be spoilt/ruined by some crazed person.
